The luxurious Peacock Beach hotel is beautifully situated directly on the broad sandy beach of Hambantota, about 240 km away from Colombo in the south of the island and known for the best surf of Sri Lanka. Many attractions are easily reachable by car, between a 15 and 60 minutes' drive away, such as the Bundala Bird Sanctuary, the marvellous Yala Wild Life Sanctuary with wild elephants, leopards, bears and crocodiles, the Sacred City of Kataragama or the spectacular blow hole of Hummanaya, the second largest of the world. The hotel offers comfortable and modern rooms. They are luxuriously appointed and feature air-conditioning and a private balcony with stunning sea views. Excellent services and amenities of the hotel include an infinity pool, a gym, two restaurants (one of which is on the beach) and two bars.
